ALL THE INFO

My name is Mel. I was born with spastic diplegic cerebral palsy and have other conditions on top of that. I use a walking frame alongside other mobility aids - that's where the name came from! Spoonie is a term that links to Spoon Theory...maybe I can do a blog post on that later!

 

I'm waiting to start my PhD in Politics, with my research focusing on disability participation in UK politics. I have an MA in Disability Studies and a BA (Hons) Politics, Philosophy and Society degree. I want to use this blog to talk about lived experiences of disability, so please feel free to get involved!
